Tope Ogundipe
/ FacultyTope Ogundipe has over 10 years of experience in third sector program management, communication, and leadership. As Paradigm Initiative’s first Chief Operating Officer, Tope has worked across communities building trust and first-rate organizational culture to lead the expansion of Paradigm Initiative’s programs to four additional locations in Nigeria and four additional countries in Africa. Now in the role of Director of Programs for Africa, she leads the development and implementation of strategy for Paradigm Initiative’s growth, design and implementation of programs throughout Nigeria and in key regions of Africa, including East, Southern and Francophone Africa. Tope also brings to the table years of consulting experience with international organizations in programs related to ICTs for Development in Africa. She’s an advocate for women’s rights in the digital space and has worked on projects with the Worldwide Web Foundation, which involves research and policy advocacy on mainstreaming gender in national ICT policies since 2015. She leads the team that organizes the yearly bi-lingual Digital Rights and Inclusion Forum with participants from up to 30 African countries participating. She has hands-on experience building highly impactful capacity-building programs having set up and/or completed training programs for a wide range of audience including out-of-school youth, technology talents in Universities, policy makers, law enforcement, and media personnel. Tope holds consultations with policy makers on internet and technology policy, with a focus on promoting digital inclusion and human rights online. She works with such regional and international networks as the Alliance for Affordable Internet, Global Network Initiative, African Internet Rights Alliance & the Net Rights Africa Coalition to advance digital access and opportunities in Africa. She is an alumnus of the Harvard Kennedy School, the Lagos Business School & the Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria.
