
Oloyede Ridwan
/ FacultyRidwan Oloyede is a legal practitioner with passion for research into new emerging practice areas like cybersecurity, data protection and data ethics. He leads the data protection team at the Tech Hive Advisory. Ridwan is also a policy advisor and analyst who has made recommendations to legislative process, reviewed legislations and published policy briefs on the intersection of Africa Continental Free Trade Agreement and the impact of cross-border data transfer on the continent’s digital economy, privacy and cybersecurity in Nigeria’s healthcare sector and a privacy framework for the protection of the African child online. He is a member of the Internet Society (Nigeria Chapter), Netrights Coalition, Africa Legal & Technology Network, and a Research Fellow at the African Academic Network on Internet Policy (AANOIP). He was recognised by Lexology as the Legal influencer for TMT (Technology, Media and Telecommunication) in Africa and Middle-East for Q4 2018. He was also ranked by Modaq as a “very popular” author in Nigeria on Media and Internet. Ridwan speaks and writes both locally and internationally and advises clients on the intersection of law, technology, cybersecurity and privacy.
